Introduction of PhonePe

PhonePe is an Indian digital payment app that was founded in December 2015, by Sameer Nigam, Rahul Chari and Burzin Engineer. It went live in August 2016. PhonePe app is based on UPI (Unified Payments Interface) that allows the customer to use BHIM UPI, credit card, debit card or wallet to pay bills and utilities.
